A. Slotas: "The reality is that this season we do not meet Liverpool's standards."

“Liverpool” club has been demonstrating extremely poor form lately.

“The Scousers” have managed to secure just one victory in seven matches in the English Championship.

Head coach Arne Slot acknowledged before the match against “Sunderland” that his team is not achieving results and stated that he has not had such a difficult season:

“A draw for this team feels like a defeat. The reality is that we are not playing to the standards of the “Scousers” team.

It is also not easy for the players, as they know the standards of this team and we are currently not meeting them. Because of this, they feel frustrated.”

“In every match, we feel like we can win, but it’s not happening... The players feel they can compete with every team in the world from any league.”

“This season is undeniably the toughest for me. In all other seasons, there was only positivity, and I believe my team has not experienced two consecutive losses.

This year is an exception for me, as well as for the players, since they rarely lose and don’t play many draws. It is also not normal for me.”

“There is a chance that we can still achieve something special this season.”

“Liverpool” club is sharing 6th-7th places in the English Championship with 39 points.
