Stars are amazed by the new A League name

The A league championships have been shaken up by changes.

Today it was announced that the strongest football championship in Lithuania will now be called TOPLYGA.

Such changes have been met with mixed reactions on social media.

Famous comedian and sports fan Paulius Ambrazevičius wrote:

"I don't even know what’s better - the ‘OlyBoost’ energy drink, or the highest Lithuanian football league - A league - changing its name to TOPLYGA. Of course, this fantastic wordplay by the bookmaker and TOPLYGA president Staniulis adds a certain charm:”

"The name TOPLYGA answers many questions, as we set goals not only for the clubs to be of top level and for everyone to know that the best Lithuanian football players would play in this league, but the organization itself also sets the highest goals. We want this to be reflected not only on the field but everything around it - management and organization have to be of top level," said G. Staniulis.

The logo is also TOP CLASS,” wrote P. Ambrazevičius.
