H. Renard: 'B. Diazo's Panenka shot is a lack of respect for the state'

Former Morocco national team and Saudi Arabia head coach Herve Renard commented on Brahim Diaz's missed penalty in the Panenka style:

"You have the right to miss a penalty, but in that case, I am categorically against such a shot having any sympathy.

It is a lack of respect for the entire country and all the people who have waited 50 years for success."

This penalty could have allowed Morocco to become African champions after a 50-year hiatus.
