On Friday, the only "Boxing Day" match of this season was played in the English Premier League.

"Manchester United" defeated "Newcastle United" at home with a minimal score of 1:0.

The injury-plagued "Man Utd" team had to make unconventional decisions, and the match started with defender Patrick Dorgu in the winger position. Such a decision by Ruben Amorim paid off handsomely, as it was the Dane who scored the only goal of the match with an excellent shot in the 24th minute.

After the break, "Newcastle" completely took control of the match, but the "Red Devils" successfully worked in defense and battled for three crucial points.
