Today, football fans will witness an important event – in Washington (USA), the draw for the group stage of the upcoming World Cup will take place.

Earlier, FIFA announced the confirmed drawing procedure.

48 teams will be divided into 12 groups of 4 teams each.

In the strongest pot, alongside the host nations, there will also be Spain, Argentina, France, England, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, and Germany. FIFA will ensure that the highest-ranked Argentinians and Spaniards can only meet in the championship final.

Pot 1: Canada, Mexico, USA, Spain, Argentina, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany

Pot 2: Croatia, Morocco, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Japan, Senegal, Iran, South Korea, Ecuador, Austria, Australia

Pot 3: Norway, Panama, Egypt, Algeria, Scotland, Paraguay, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa

Pot 4: Jordan, Greenland, Ghana, Curacao, Haiti, New Zealand, Europe playoffs A, B, C, and D, FIFA playoff teams 1 and 2

The draw will start by drawing all teams from Pot 1 into groups A–L. The same process will then continue with Pots 2, 3, and 4.

In the "Kennedy Center" hall, comedian Kevin Hart will entertain the audience, and supermodel Heidi Klum will also join him on stage. Actor Danny Ramirez will interact with football legends backstage.

During the show, maestro Andrea Bocelli, pop star Robbie Williams, and the group "Village People," which will perform US President Donald Trump's favorite song "Y. M. C. A.," will present their works.

The ceremony will be broadcast live starting at 7:00 PM on fifa.com, FIFA's social media accounts, and various television channels.
