The head coach of the "Liverpool" club, Arne Slot, praised Florian Wirtz after a 1:1 draw with "Sunderland":

"I think that F. Wirtz played very well once again, just like against London’s 'West Ham United.'

The German himself commented on the own goal that could have been credited to him:

"An own goal? That’s not important. We drew. We wanted to win. That’s what matters most now."
