"Manchester United" co-owner Jim Ratcliffe is trying to squeeze the maximum out of the team.

Having bought 25% of the club's shares a couple of years ago, the billionaire has introduced several rules that may soon affect poorly performing players.

According to journalist Alex Crook, one of the guidelines devised by the tycoon and club chief Omar Berrado prevents new players from expecting an exceptionally long adaptation period.

If a player fails to shine within two years of arrival, a new team will be sought for them.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the first such unfortunate case will be defender Manuel Ugarte.

In 2024, the Uruguayan cost the team £42.2 million, but so far he has failed to deliver breathtaking results.
