The "Liverpool" club is going through a tragic period, which was extended on Wednesday by the PSV team, who defeated the English champions 4:1 at "Anfield".
After yet another loss, there is increasing talk about the uncertain future of "Liverpool" coach Arne Slot at the club. However, longtime Liverpool player, now football expert Jamie Carragher does not doubt that A. Slot is safe, and the responsibility should fall on the players.
"Liverpool is not a club that fires coaches," CBS Sports quoted J. Carragher as saying.
"This is a special club throughout Europe, as here the coach is king and gets enough time. 'Liverpool' has never fired a coach who has won the league with the team. They all leave after a while when they decide to leave the club themselves."
"After the weekend match against Nottingham Forest, I couldn't believe that people were already talking about a potential dismissal of the coach. Those talks will only intensify now."
"I have always been in favor of supporting the coach. I am extremely angry at the 'Liverpool' players. Of course, there is always a possibility that it may simply become impossible for the coach to continue at the club. I’m not saying it's time to change the coach, but I know that fans are already talking about it,” stated the former 'Liverpool' player.
