E. Maresca: "C. Palmer's influence at Chelsea is like E. Haaland's and M. Salah's"

The head coach of London’s Chelsea club, Enzo Maresca, compared Cole Palmer's impact on the team to that of Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah:

"I am proud of how the ‘aristocrats’ look without C. Palmer... Because for us, he is like E. Haaland to the ‘Manchester City’ team.

This Englishman is like M. Salah to the ‘Liverpool’ team and I would guess that if E. Haaland were not playing for the ‘citizens’ and M. Salah were not in the ‘scousers’ ranks, these would not be similar teams.

22-year-old Cole Palmer has been playing for Chelsea since 2023 and has scored 45 goals in 101 matches.
