Longtime "Manchester City" club midfielder Fernandinho has ended his professional football career.
For the past three years, the Brazilian played for "Athletico Paranaense".
In an interview with sports publication "Globo", the Brazilian commented on his decision:
"I am already tired now. I would run for about 30 minutes and already feel exhausted... nothing in football motivated me anymore.
I have achieved everything I could. Now it's time to enjoy being with my family."
Fernandinho played for the "Citizens" from 2013 to 2022 and scored 26 goals in 383 matches.
At "Athletico Paranaense", he scored 12 times in 117 matches.
The 40-year-old Fernandinho won the "Carabao" Cup 6 times, the English "Premier" League 5 times, and once each of the FA Cup and "Community Shield" titles during his career.
