FIFA has intensified its efforts to combat expressions of anger in internet comments.
As reported by the global football organization, it will soon expand the activities of its "Social Media Protection Service" division even further.
Since the start of the project in 2022, more than 65 thousand offensive comments have been reported to social media administrators.
This year alone, such actions have been taken 30 thousand times.
Additionally, 11 individuals have been reported to their countries' law enforcement agencies, and one case even reached Interpol.
All offending individuals will also be punished by FIFA – they will be placed on "black" lists and banned from participating in international matches in the future.
