"Liverpool" suffered a painful defeat in the English Premier League on Sunday.
The English champions lost 0:3 away to Manchester City.
However, the match could have taken a different turn, as in the 38th minute Virgil van Dijk sent the ball into the City net, and it seemed that the score had become equal – 1:1. Nevertheless, after the pause, a foul was recorded against Andy Robertson, who, according to the referees, obstructed the goalkeeper. It was this episode that angered Liverpool coach Arne Slot the most after the match.
"It's hard to say anything. It is clear that the referees made the wrong decision, at least that's my opinion.
Robertson did not affect the goalkeeper's ability to save the shot. Again, after the match, I was shown a similar episode from the same referee last season, where a goal was counted.
The referee's assistant raised the flag after about 13 seconds, so it is clear that he received some communication from the pitch referee. I believe that this goal would have changed the course of the match," said A. Slot.
