The head coach of the "Liverpool" club, Arne Slot, commented before the match against "Manchester City" on Alexander Isak's return, Jeremie Frimpong, and plans for the transfer window:
"A. Isak has been training with the team again after three weeks. If you had a few weeks of rehabilitation, it won't bring him back to the level he was at before very quickly.
Even if the rehabilitation went wonderfully, it can't reflect in the matches. I say again that A. Isak will need time."
"Last season, the "Scousers" scored the most goals, but now with "Manchester City," we are a team that has created the most chances from open play.
The first thing you think about is that we need a new forward who can finish such attacks, and that would be ideal. But we have already signed two forwards."
"I don't expect that the full-back Jeremie Frimpong will return to the lineup after the international break. It will be a confrontation with the "Nottingham Forest" team."
"I fully believe in this team's strategy not to have a very deep squad.
We have 19-20 players, but with that, they need to be fully prepared for matches, as there are a lot of games. This season it is considerably harder for us than last season."
The "Liverpool" club shares 3rd-5th places in the English championship with "Sunderland" and "Bournemouth" teams, having 18 points.
