Former Real Madrid player Gareth Bale criticized the attacking line of the team after a 0:1 loss to Liverpool:

"There was no magic from Vinicius and Kylian Mbappe to get this team back into the game?”

"They were faster than anyone in this match… maybe there wasn't a single player waiting in the penalty area and at the peak of an attack…”

"This team probably needs a number nine player. Sometimes that's what you need to be able to score.”

The 36-year-old Gareth Bale played for Real from 2013 to 2022 and scored 106 goals in 258 matches.
