The Madrid "Real" club defender Trent Alexander-Arnold commented on the upcoming Champions League clash against his former team "Liverpool":
"If I score a goal against the 'Scousers'... I won't celebrate the goal, no."
"When the draw was announced, I think most people kind of knew what would happen.
You know, it was destined for this matchup to happen."
"I received a lot of messages... Andrew Robertson, Mohamed Salah, and Ibrahima Konate... because we all laughed, as we understood perfectly that this was going to happen."
"It had to be 'Liverpool' – Madrid 'Real'."
"The match against this team... it will come so quickly, so there are a lot of different emotions. Very, very difficult match.
The reception and atmosphere will be beneficial, but for me, even more, is the football evening itself. I played here for a long time and with this coach, so I fully understand what a good team 'Liverpool' is."
Trent Alexander-Arnold played for "Liverpool" from 2017 to 2025 and scored 23 goals in 354 matches.
Last season, he became a Premier League champion for the second time.
The "Liverpool" – Madrid "Real" match will take place on Tuesday at 10 PM.
