The Munich "Bayern" team records a record start to the season.

The victory against the "Cologne" team in the German Cup extended Munich's winning streak to 14, which is an all-time European club football record.

Previously, the record belonged to the "AC Milan" club, which started the 1992-93 season with 13 consecutive victories.

Due to this super start, "Bayern" coach Vincent Kompany was rewarded with a new contract.
