Liverpool club defender Virgil Van Dijk stated that after the loss to Manchester United, they had several serious conversations:

"After the Man United match, we had a serious talk with the coach. We also had a separate conversation with all the players.

I wanted to say a lot of things. We had to stay calm and block out all the noise from the outside environment. That is something you cannot control.”

That loss was the fourth in a row for the Scousers in all competitions.
