The "Barcelona" club may say goodbye to its captain during the winter months.

As reported by the sports publication "Sky Sports," Marc-André ter Stegen may leave the Catalan team.

It is still unclear whether this will be on loan or through a transfer for the German.

Currently, M. ter Stegen is recovering from a back injury and will not play for at least a few months.

The German still hopes to compete in next year's World Cup, so he will aim to get playing time.

33-year-old Marc-André ter Stegen has been with the "Barcelona" club since 2014 and has played 422 matches.

Last season, he appeared on the pitch nine times.
