PČ selection: Germany and France sorted out formalities at home, Ukraine secured an important victory in Iceland

In the World Championship qualifiers - several victories for the favorites.

Germany defeated Luxembourg 4-0 at home.

In the 12th minute, David Raum scored the first goal, and 8 minutes later, the visiting defender Dick Carlson was sent off for a last-hope foul. Shortly after, Joshua Kimmich converted the penalty kick.

In the second half, J. Kimmich scored another goal, and Serge Gnabry was also accurate.

France crushed Azerbaijan 3-0 after goals from Kylian Mbappe, Adrien Rabiot, and Floriano Thauvin.

In the same French Group D, Ukraine achieved an important victory, beating Iceland 5-3.

In a high-scoring match, Albert Gudmundsson equalized the score in the 75th minute, but shortly after, goals from Ivan Kalyuzhnyi and Oleg Ocheretko allowed the Ukrainians to triumph.

Ukraine currently has more points than Iceland, which is in 3rd place in the group.
