Legendary Liverpool club midfielder Steven Gerrard commented on Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure to Madrid's Real team:

"What are you doing? Liverpool is undoubtedly one of the best teams in Europe. You have fought for titles with them that I can only dream of sitting here now.

You won the Champions League title. You were one of the key players of this team. Fans respected you. What are you doing? But I speak like this wearing a 'scouser' hat because I love this team.”

Trent Alexander-Arnold joined Madrid's Real club as a free agent last summer.

The 27-year-old player had been playing for Liverpool since 2017 and scored 23 goals in 354 matches.
