The magazine "France Football," which organizes the "Ballon d'Or" awards, announced how the votes for this year's award were distributed.

O. Dembele collected an impressive 1380 points from national team players, coaches, and journalists.

He was ahead by 321 points from Lamine Yamal, who took second place in the voting. A similar gap existed between second and third place, which was unexpectedly taken by Vitinha.

The difference between Vitinha, Mo Salah, and Raphinha was somewhat smaller. Together with Yamal and Dembele, they formed a clear top five of leaders.
