The football club "Panevėžys" will compete in the "FPRO LFF Cup" final for the third time. In the semifinal, after a tense battle, the players from Panevėžys overcame Marijampolė's "Sūduva" with a score of 2:0 (1:0) away.

In the first half, cautious and clumsy football prevailed. Kwadwo Asamoah once struck near the post, while the opponents responded with a dangerous breakthrough from Žygimantas Baltrūnas, which was halted by Vytautas Černiauskas, as well as a dangerous pass during added time.

In the 53rd minute, "Panevėžys" took the lead. Earlier, Elivelto provoked a foul from the opponent in the penalty area, and at the 11-meter mark, the tournament's top scorer Ariagneris Smith took a shot that found the back of the net.

In a nerve-wracking second half, V. Černiauskas played confidently, saving a couple of attempts from the opponents. Elivelto came close to scoring, but his struck ball was cleared off the goal line by a former opponent. Nevertheless, in the 80th minute, the victory was secured by a fast counterattack, during which Salomonas Kouadio delivered an excellent pass to K. Asamoah, who scored with a precise one-touch finish.

As the match approached its end, V. Černiauskas defended against a dangerous header from Nauris Petkevičius, while K. Asamoah was just a few centimeters away from a duplicate. After a subsequent scuffle, a second yellow card was shown to Domantas Vaičekauskas, along with a direct red card to Danielius Bukelis, who pushed the opponent – both players will miss the final.

The "FPRO LFF Cup" final will take place on September 28. "Panevėžys" will find out their opponent after the second semifinal between the local "Džiugas" and Kaunas district's "Hegelmann" team is played in Telšiai.
