R. Lewandowski pointed fingers at the Premier League: they overpay for players © scanpix

Robert Lewandowski sees the current football transfer market and understands that during his time, when he was at the peak of his career, things were a bit different.

Speaking to the "Sport" daily, the Pole said: "Premier League clubs pay a lot. They buy players for large sums who haven't even had one good season."

If you're young and score 10 goals in 6 months, some club might be willing to pay 60-70 million euros for you. In the past, you needed to achieve something more.

You never know if that price reflects the quality you're paying for."
