UEFA has decided to address an important issue.

The football organization of the old continent has announced that it is easing the rules for player registration for the prestigious Champions League tournament.

Until now, teams had no opportunity to adjust their initial player registration list before the knockout stages.

Now UEFA has informed that if a player sustains a serious injury or falls ill, teams will have the opportunity to call up a temporary successor until the sixth round.

The Champions League matches will start on September 16.
