"La Liga" club leaders are rising against the president of the league, Javier Tebas.
According to the Spaniards, the official has tightened financial belts so strictly that their teams have become objects of ridicule in money-splashing Europe.
The "Getafe" team, which at the beginning of the season did not receive permission to register six important players and was forced to sell leader Chrisantus Uche to "Crystal Palace," said president Ángel Torres:
"All of Europe is laughing at us."
He was echoed by "Espanyol" sports director Garagarza: "In the summer, Premier League teams spent more money than the other four major leagues in the Old Continent combined. Something is not right with 'La Liga.'
J. Tebas's term will end in 2027, and he has already announced that he will leave his position permanently.
