The Bayer Leverkusen team already has to tackle an unexpected problem at the start of the season.

The Bundesliga club was forced to swiftly dismiss the underperforming coach Erik ten Hag and is now looking for his successor.

As journalist Nicolo Schira reports, there are three candidates in the Germans' sights.

They are Thiago Motta, Marco Rose, and Edin Terzić.

Currently, Bayer is temporarily led by assistant coach Rogier Meijer.
