"Barcelona" team sniper Robert Lewandowski criticized the "Ballon d'Or" selections.

According to experts, the experienced Pole should have received at least one such prize in the past, but still ended up empty-handed.

Speaking to BBC, the veteran said:

"Now there are several strong candidates in the ranks of 'Barca' who deserve recognition."

I don't know which awards are more important: FIFA's best or the 'Ballon d'Or'. The latter is more commercial."

About the disappointment he experienced in 2020, the Pole stated:

"No one understood that. It's part of football, just like politics."
