In early July, the football world was shaken by the news of the death of Liverpool player Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva in a car accident.

Once again, after this tragedy, Liverpool confirmed that D. Jota's salary will continue to be paid to his family, and his three children will be cared for until they reach adulthood.

In light of the tragedy, the London Chelsea players decided to show a particularly beautiful gesture, having recently triumphed in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Athletic reports that each Chelsea player received approximately $500,000 in bonuses for winning the tournament. All the players decided to donate an equal share of these bonuses to the families of the deceased D. Jota and A. Silva.
