O. Kahn's Criticism: The Bundesliga Championship is Becoming Boring © IMAGO/MIS

Germany's football legend Oliver Kahn watches with concern the trends in the Bundesliga championship.

According to the German, the strongest clubs in the country are increasingly widening the gap from the remaining teams each year.

"When I played football, there was a much tougher competition for the Bundesliga championship title. However, now the league has become less fair.

What can be said when clubs with a budget of 30-40 million are competing against opponents that are ten times richer?

Five reserve players from Bayern are worth more than the entire team from the lower half of the Bundesliga table.

The gap continues to grow and is further exacerbated by additional tournaments, such as the World Club Cup.

The Bundesliga results are becoming predictable and it’s getting boring to watch everything,” Kahn explained.
