Barcelona club midfielder Gavi commented on the reactions of the Madrid Real club after their losses, their newcomers, and the desire to be the captain of the Catalan team:

"Of course, they were upset. We won against them four out of four matches, and that has never happened before, so it’s natural that they were worried.

This offseason they strengthened some positions with great players, that’s true, but we will see what they can do. They have a strong team, but we just have to be ourselves, that’s all.”

"I would really like to one day wear the captain's armband... We will vote with my teammates, and it will be as the whole team decides.”

20-year-old Gavi has been playing for Barcelona since 2021 and has scored 10 goals in 153 matches.
