The Liverpool club has taken active steps to acquire Alexander Isak.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the English champions have made their first offer to Newcastle United for the 25-year-old striker.
It is reported that the offer for the Swede was around £120 million, but it was rejected once again.
According to reports, the Magpies are not willing to sell the Swede until they find a suitable replacement for him.
Journalist David Ornstein adds that Newcastle is trying to convince A. Isak to sign a new contract that would include a clause allowing him to leave for a buyout next summer.
However, A. Isak himself is currently only thinking about moving to Liverpool.
