"River Plate" finished their appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Argentine club lost 0:2 to Milan's "Inter" in the crucial Group E match.

"River Plate" played with a man down from the 65th minute after Lucas Martinez Quarta received a red card.

"Inter" took advantage of the numerical superiority in the 72nd minute when Francesco Pio Esposito scored.

Alessandro Bastoni secured Milan's victory in the 93rd minute.

At the very end of the match, "River Plate" lost another player as Gonzalo Montiel was sent off the pitch.

Mexico's "Monterrey" also advanced to the next stage, crushing "Urawa Reds" 4:0 in their final group match.

German Berterame scored two goals for the winners, while Nelson Deossa and Jesus Corona each scored once.
