"Tottenham" club dismissed Ange Postecoglou on June 6 – two years after the Australian joined the club and two weeks after he ended a 17-year trophy drought with the club.

People from outside view this decision strangely, and for many "Tottenham" fans, this club's decision is painful. Despite finishing only 17th in the Premier League, the decision shook the internet.

Behind this decision and other decisions made in the past year stands one man – Daniel Levy.

As journalist Alasdair Gold from "Football London" wrote, after such a long-awaited trophy, which should have been the main topic until the next season, everything was overshadowed by Daniel Levy wanting to become the main actor.

The club chairman took weeks to decide on the team's head coach, and ultimately the decision was one that the vast majority of fans did not like. A. Postecoglou, who led the club to success, was dismissed. And yes, this decision can be understood from one side, as the form in the league was tragic, but looking at the bigger picture, one wonders if the club's management really understands what this club is about?

In November 2019, you sack Mauricio Pochettino and hire Jose Mourinho because you're searching for that trophy? When Mourinho takes the team to the League Cup final in 2021, you sack him a week before the final. Why? He is an expert in finals, and yet another failure in the league wouldn't have changed anything. In that case, the form of the "Lilywhites" in the league was also deplorable, but that's another decision that is hard to understand.

After Mourinho follows a three-month experiment-misunderstanding with Nuno Espirito Santo, and then Antonio Conte joins the club. Why? Because you want trophies, regardless of the style of play through which they're achieved.

In 2023, after all the disasters, Ange Postecoglou joins the club. This was neither the club’s nor the fans’ first choice, but the good start of the Australian in the head coach position captivated everyone.

A. Postecoglou's team began to show weaker form at the end of the 2023-24 season, and eventually managed to finish only in fifth place in the Premier League. The journey in the Europa League began.

The journey was winding, with adaptations in the game; he was more cautious and somewhat unusual for an Australian specialist, but the ending was beautiful – winning the Europa League trophy. This was what the club had been striving for so long.

So as Daniel Levy, you see that the club finally felt that success with you. 17th place and a Europa League trophy with a place in the Champions League might even be better than "Arsenal’s" trophy-less season and second place, some might say. You achieved success, created a wonderful trophy parade that attracted a quarter of a million people, and you are, in reality, at the top of the world now.

So you achieved that, and now you think it would be better to sack this Australian and hire the "Brentford" coach. Do you need to rush to sack someone who achieved everything you wanted in those 17 unfortunate years? Give him half a year, see how things go, because now you're thinking the grass will be greener on the other side? It’s not always like that.

Coaches who didn’t fight for trophies were dismissed. The coach who won a trophy was dismissed. What does this say about the club? What is the image of this club? In what dimension is it?

Thomas Frank is a very nice guy, but you dismissed the person with whom a very nice story could have continued to develop. The fans loved him, the players even more, and Postecoglou defended the club like no other coach has. All of Mourinho's and Conte's arrogance was washed away by this Australian.

In the next season, Postecoglou should have all the weapons. With the Champions League and his charisma, it would be possible to attract several top-level players, and now the project will start anew, probably with the "Brentford" Dane.

You could have given at least half a year, but you decided to be the main actor right now, Daniel Levy..
