Arturas Dolžnikovas has a real chance to play in the Europa League next season.
The Lithuanian represented Olomouc's „Sigma“ team, which defeated Prague's „Sparta“ 3:1 in the Czech Cup final.
A. Dolžnikovas started the match in the starting lineup and was substituted only in the 70th minute when „Sigma“ was leading 3:1.
Due to the good UEFA coefficient of Czech teams, clubs from this country have good opportunities to compete in Europe. Cup champions earn the right to begin their battles in the international arena from the last qualifying barrier of the Europa League.
If they do not pass the fourth qualifying round of the Europa League, „Sigma“ would play in another European tournament – the Conference League.
The 24-year-old Lithuanian has established himself in the new team's lineup.
