In the "Championship" playoffs final, where teams compete for a place in the "Premier" league, "Sheffield United" and "Sunderland" have made it through.

"Sunderland" dramatically defeated "Coventry City" over 210 minutes – the second match went into extra time.

Ehpronas Masonas Clarkas equalized the series score in the 76th minute.

During extra time, the teams played evenly, but a goal scored in the 122nd minute decided everything. Center-back Dan Ballardo's goal took "Sunderland" into the decisive match for a place in the "Premier" league.

"Sunderland" has not played in the "Premier" league since the 2016-17 season.
