The Istanbul "Fenerbahçe" coach Jose Mourinho will not take over the Portuguese national team in the near future.

The football federation of this country officially denied Turkish media reports that the experienced specialist would replace Roberto Martínez in his demanding position after the Nations League finals.

Turkish sources wrote that the 62-year-old strategist is preparing to terminate his contract with the Istanbul club to help the Portuguese achieve a high placement in the World Cup, thereby giving a worthy retirement to striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

Turkish media reported that the Portuguese do not want to pay a buyout for J. Mourinho, so the coach himself will try to leave the team in a timely manner.
