The football club "Panevėžys" has reached an agreement with its first newcomer of this offseason. The team from the capital of Aukštaitija has signed a three-year contract with midfielder Salomonas Kouadio.
The 21-year-old player from Ivory Coast joined the team’s training sessions in October and made a good impression. For S. Kouadio, this will be his first professional club in Europe; prior to this, he developed his skills with the teams "Monajoce," "Yopougon," and the capital's Abidjan team "Stella Club."
The midfielder who signed a professional contract shared his first thoughts with fk-panevezys.lt.
"The professionalism of the club and the positive attitude of the administration and coaches motivated me to join 'Panevėžys.'
I will spend some more time with my family, work there, and prepare to return to the pre-season training cycle. My expectation is to demonstrate my abilities for the club, push it forward, and achieve objectives for the coming year," said S. Kouadio.
Coached by strategist Rolandas Vrabecas, "Panevėžys" will gather for their first training session on January 6.
