In the 23rd round of the "TOPsport A league," "Panevėžys" extended their best season streak. The representatives of the capital of Aukštaitija defeated Vilnius "Riteriai" away 3:1 (2:0).

In the first half, the guests proved their superiority with two scored goals. In the 16th minute, after a pass from the right flank, a player from Panevėžys took a shot on goal, the ball ricocheted kindly to Ariagneri Smith, who took advantage of the opportunity.

After 24 minutes, "Panevėžys" scored again: Lucas de Vega earned a penalty, which he converted himself. This is the 6th goal of the midfielder this season.

After the break, the Panevėžys team could have increased their lead even further – Ernestas Veliulis shot over the goal, while "Riteriai" goalkeeper Antonio Tuta neutralized A. Smith's incursion into the penalty area. The hosts had two chances in the middle of the second half from header attempts.

In the 81st minute, "Panevėžys" secured their victory. Rokas Rasimavičius shot at goal, but the ball ended up with A. Smith, and the forward celebrated his double. However, three minutes later, Leifas Estevez brilliantly disarmed Vytautas Černiauskas with a single touch.
