Israel may soon disappear from the football map.
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine has prompted both UEFA and certain football players to reflect.
According to "One Football," 48 football players have signed a petition for the "occupying entity" to be removed from football. Of course, this refers to the Israeli national team.
Among those 48 players are well-known names such as Paul Pogba, Hakim Ziyech, and Egyptian player Sam Morsi.
UEFA will make a final decision next week on whether to remove Israel from the World Cup qualifiers.
It should be noted that the Israeli national team is also scheduled to play an away game in Lithuania in November. Naturally, with decisions still pending, these friendly matches may also be in jeopardy.
