A quite significant change may occur in the 11-meter penalty rules.

The FIFA referees' guide and legendary football referee Pierluigi Collina is considering changing the football rules regarding penalties.

His idea is to end the 11-meter penalty stage when the ball rebounds. It doesn't matter whether the ball bounces off the goal structure or the goalkeeper.

This means that players would not be able to make a correction after a missed shot in any case.
