On Monday, January 26, during a meeting, the club shareholders discussed the issue of the president's position and voted for his appointment.

By a unanimous decision of the shareholders, A. Tapinas was elected president of the club.

The new club president committed to present the vice president candidates by the next shareholders' meeting.

"A lot of work and responsibility awaits, but also a lot of enthusiasm. I set high goals – an average of 2500 spectators must attend A league matches, the club's budget must reach at least 6 million euros within a few years, and the residents of Vilnius need to feel that this is truly their city team. If we don't achieve that, then I don't know what I'm doing here," said the new club president A. Tapinas after the official appointment.

During the shareholders' meeting, a new composition of the club's board was also elected. It will consist of seven members: Mindaugas Kasperūnas, Tadas Burgaila, Andrius Tapinas, three shareholder representatives from the Vilnius City Municipality – Head of the Sports and Wellness Department Edvinas Eimontas, Head of the Public Procurement Department Giedrius Krasauskas – as well as the representative of the portion transferred to the club's supporters, Linas Kuprusevičius, and a representative of the shareholder company "Valoras."
