Michael Carrick suffered his first defeat at the helm of Manchester United.

On Wednesday evening, the "Red Devils" lost 1:2 to Newcastle United in an away match.

During stoppage time of the first half, true drama unfolded on the pitch, starting with Newcastle midfielder Jacob Ramsey receiving a second yellow card for simulation. However, shortly after, Anthony Gordon was brought down in the penalty area, and the Englishman converted the penalty himself to put the hosts ahead.

Man Utd managed to equalize before the break, with Casemiro scoring with a header.

Even playing with a man down, Newcastle started the second half more actively, but soon the visitors took over the initiative and had several chances to score.

However, the last word in this match belonged to the "Magpies", as William Osula scored the winning goal in the 90th minute after a brilliant counterattack.
