This week, forward Nico Williams has officially extended his contract with Athletic Bilbao and will enjoy a very solid salary.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the European champion will earn around 10 million euros per season. The salary may be adjusted slightly based on the player's personal performances at the club and with his national team.

This amount is already stated after accounting for hefty taxes in Spain.

It is reported that the talented player rejected an offer from Barcelona due to the deteriorating financial condition of the Catalan club and the rising uncertainties regarding the player's future registration.

The new agreement between both parties will be valid for up to ten years.
