The London "Arsenal" club played to a 1:1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in their first Champions League match.
After the match, "Gunners" midfielder Noni Madueke commented that there are things that need improvement, but he did not hide his belief ahead of the return leg:
"There were things we could have done better. We know we have to look in the mirror and draw conclusions."
"The mood in the locker room isn't great, but it's not tragic either. I believe this is because our next match will be in London, where we usually perform well. Everything is fine."
I can't wait for this match, because I know there will be a great atmosphere. We will need the supporters and we trust ourselves to do our job."
The "Arsenal" club equalized in the 89th minute when Kai Havertz converted a penalty.
The return leg will take place next Tuesday in London.
