Tennis star Novak Djokovic has decided to join the ranks of celebrities investing in football.

ESPN reports that the Serb, along with a group of like-minded individuals, decided to acquire shares in the "Le Mans" team, which plays in the second division of France.

Along with N. Djokovic, former Formula 1 drivers Felipe Massa and Kevin Magnussen also invested money.

The "Le Mans" club, celebrating its 40th anniversary, will begin its campaign in the local league on August 9.

Recently, the city of Le Mans is better known not for football, but for the 24-hour race.
