Football fans are actively purchasing jerseys of players not competing in Europe.
As reported by "Euromericas Sport Marketing,” the list of this year’s most popular athletes features two legendary forwards – Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Argentinian ranks second – 1.28 million jerseys bearing his name have been sold. The Portuguese player in seventh place is significantly behind (925 thousand).
This year, all competitors were surpassed by "Barcelona” wonderkind Lamine Yamal (1.32 million).

2 - Lionel Messi ("Inter Miami”) - 1.28 million.
3 - Robert Lewandowski ("Barcelona”) - 1.11 million.
