Marijampolės 'Sūduva' drew with Telšių 'Džiugas'

In the "TOPsport A League," Marijampolė's "Sūduva" extended their unbeaten streak to six matches. The team coached by Donatas Vencevičius ended their away match against Telšiai's "Džiugas" in a draw of 1:1.

In the first half, the fans witnessed three threatening episodes. In the first of them, Nauris Petkevičius passed the ball to Lucky Toma, whose powerful shot from about 20 meters was parried by Marius Paukštė.

However, the goalkeeper was helpless in the 33rd minute when, during a counterattack, N. Petkevičius effectively sent the ball into the far corner of the net. "Džiugas," after conceding a goal, became more active, earning a couple of corner kicks and having a great opportunity, but Vilius Piliukaitis's attempt was saved by Giedrius Zenkevičius.

In the second half, the players from Džiugas played somewhat better and managed to equalize the score. In the 73rd minute, Lukas Ankudinovas earned a penalty, which was converted by Ukrainian Oleksandras Kurcevas.
