Managers of the "Man Utd" team have decided to stop pursuing "Aston Villa" goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

According to "The Athletic", the "Red Devils" wanted to loan the World Cup champion, while the Birmingham club demanded to buy out the Argentine's contract.

It is reported that the Manchester team, which is looking for a main goalkeeper, will now focus on "Newcastle" representative Nick Pope.

In the past, the 33-year-old Englishman briefly played for the "Three Lions" national team.

He has been defending "Newcastle" colors since 2022, when he was acquired from "Burnley" for £10 million.
