In January, Manchester United announced that Casemiro would leave the team after the season.
The wonderful season played by the Brazilian will see him leave the team as a free agent, although this required the removal of one important contract detail.
Manchester Evening News reports that there was a condition in Casemiro's contract that would automatically extend the Brazilian's contract for another year if he played 35 matches in the starting lineup this season.
However, this condition has been removed, so Manchester United's strategist Michael Carrick will not have to worry about the rotation of his main defensive midfielder.
So far, Casemiro has played 28 matches in the starting lineup this season, and there are still seven games left for United before the end of the season.
