The head coach of London’s Arsenal club, Mikel Arteta, after the 0:2 loss in the Carabao Cup final, stated that this defeat could have an impact on the rest of the season:
"Looking at the bigger picture and what the Gunners have accomplished since the beginning of this season is impressive.
We will use this disappointment and with fire in our hearts we aim to experience two amazing months that we have not yet spent together.”
"Everything depends on us, and we will try to manage our energy properly. Now we have to experience both the pain and disappointment – it’s part of football and it's normal.
This season we have played around 50 matches.
The good thing is that we have recent history of how this team has reacted in tough moments, and I am sure we will do it again.”
Arsenal is in second place in the English championship with 61 points.
They are nine points ahead of the Man City team and have a game in hand.
